Funeral services were held
j * Sunday afternoon for Robert Jorl don Turner, 82, a retired teacher of the ‘old school,’ who ».died early Monday morning in r Moore Rest Home in Charles Town, West Va.,^where he had been Pa patient for VSJ days.
Mr.-Turner was & native of Rappahannock County,'and a son of the late George Turner and Mrs. Eliza Robinson Turner. For many years he wa$ a professor at Flint Hill High School. He also taught in Grottoes and near Culpeper.
The Reverend Gilbert M. Profitt conducted the funeral services in the chapel of Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal. Burial was in the Prospect Hill Cemetery. Masonic rites were held, also.
Members of a Masonic Lodge served as active pallbearers, Honorary pallbearers were J. H. Downing, Herbert Foster, John I S. Browning, G. W. Smith, J. W. j Fletcher, Billy Ramey, Jack Downing, Dr. Aubrey Armen, trout, Travis Maddox, Randolph Huyett, W. C. Williams, Dr. Edwin Eastham, M. R. Bradford, Jr., Robert Cook and B. J. Wood.
