t Tuesday, October 26—Castlen H.D. meeting at 1:30 p.m. at le home of Mrs. Lewis Cloud. A planning meeting was held on riday for die Achievement Day id the date set for it was Novemir 12th. At this time awards will : given in projects, county edals,, and the outstanding H’ers will be recognized. The planning committee conited of Lelia Gentry, Betty iRutherford, Glen Updike and I Jimmy Yates. ^ I Mrs. Les Walters entertained •Amissville H. D. Club, Wednes. day afternoon. The club decided to purchase lights for a community Christmas tree. The demonstration was on making sandwiches for the packed ,3#inch and for entertaining. Mrs. R. M. Johnson was hostess for Woodville H. D. ClubThe club members turned in their accomplishment sheets for 1954* iThe demonstration was«on easier and shorter wash days. - Heavy supplies of nuts and dried fruits usually reach retail markets about Halloween time.! This fall there are plenty of wal-. nuts, almonds, filberts and* prunes and these suggested fruit cookies as well as fruit cakes.
