CARLTON CLORE’S FARM, CULPEPER, VIRGINIA Drainage ditch opened through swamp area iby use of Drag Line on J. Carlton Clore farm. Note spoil bank on left which was removed from the ditch. Dirt will be spread by bulldozer when land dries out, sufficiently. Soil Conservation Service Technicians working in co-operation with the Culpeper Soil Conservation District assisted Mr. Clore in the location and design of the ditch. All farmers desiring assistance in any type of soil and water conservation work are encouraged to contact T, G. Ragsdale, Soil Conservation District Supervisor, or L. B.
