Sunday Ban To Go
On Sale Of Wine
_A 3-3 tie on the question' of banning the sale of wine in the county on Sunday was broken Wednesday morning at the December meeting of the Board of Supervisors when ' James W. Fletcher voiced his approval of the Sunday ban, -----,.
The “wine ban” motion was made by Supervisor W. C. Camp^ bell in last month’s meeting, when a previous proposal to ban the sale of beer and wine on Sunday was rejected. Supervisor Henry Wood seconded this motion and the vote stood Estes, Latham and Buckner opposing the ban and Cook, Wood and Campbell supporting the . amendment to the initial motion. (Attorney Fletcher is the board’s official tie-breaker, and thus was called in for this meeting.)
The Sunday ban on the sale of wine will not go into effect until the licenses of the present dealers have expired.
