Capt. and Mrs. H. C. Warwick spent the Thanksgiving Holiday with Capt. Warwick’s sister, Mrs. L. P. Williams in Charleston, W. Va., returning to their home, Rock Bottom, on Monday.
Mrs. Cordelia Estes of Newport, Mrs. Mamie Wren of —Washington, D. C. andMrs. Edwin Pearson of Silver Spring, Maryland were guests for the day Sunday of Mrs. Essie Estes.
Mr. and Mrs. Upton Weakley were dinner guests of Mrs. Weakley’s sister-in-law, Mrs. Gid Brown of Madison, recently.
Miss Corrie Peyton, who has — been on the sick list, is improving.
A/2c Harvey Smoot arrived home from Africa last Thursday and spent the remainder of the holiday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Smoot. He is now stationed in Savannah, Georgia.
Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Reid, Joe Reid and Mrs. Frank Wood were dinner guests on Thanksgiving Day of Mr. and Mrs. Downing Wood. Afternoon callers were Aubrey Wood of Culpeper, and the Misses Alice and Lucy Woolfolk of Louisa.
Miss Alice Mae Coughlin spent the Thanksgiving holidays at her home here.
