former official of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, died Friday in a hospital at'Farmville, Va. —Mrs. Cary was the daughter of the late Rev. Sydnor Ferguson and Mrs. Mary Finnell Ferguson. She lived at Flint Hill during the 1930’s. Her father was a Methodist minister at Woodstock and in the town of Front Royal. _She was one of the founders of Alpha Sigma sorority and was past historian of the Virginia Division of the United Daughters of the Conferedacy and past historian-general of the U. D. C. For many years she reviewed books for the Ur D. C. magazine. She was also a former member of the Warren Rifles Chapter, of the U. D. C. in Front Royal.
Mrs. Cary had lived at the Hotel Royal in Front Royal since last April. She left recently to visit her sister in Florida. Friends in Front
