MISS FLETCHER, BRIDE OF GEO. FLETCHER IN LOVELY CEREMONY
A beautiful wedding was witnessed Sunday evening, November 28 at 3 o’clock when Miss Louise ^letcher, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Fletcher of Washington, became the bride of Mr. George Fletcher, the son of Mrs. Julia White of Pittsburgh, Pa. Her pastor, the Rev. R. C. Davis of Washington, D. C. officiated at the ceremony.
The marriage took place in the ;_home of Mr. and Mrs. Webster Fletcher and Mrs. Louise Fletcher. The house was decorated with holly and chrysanthemums.
The bride was given in marriage by a friend of the family, Mr. ..William Anthony of Pittsburgh, Pa. She was gowned in chantilly lace and net over satin and carried a corsage of chrysanthemums. Her maid of honor was Mrs. Webster Fletcher, who was attired in a dress of grey satin. Mr. Webster Fletcher, a brother of the bride, was best man. The groom’s mother wore purple lace.
Following the ceremony a reception was held. The bride received many lovely gifts. Many relatives and friends were present to wish the couple happiness.
There will be Choir rehearsal -“ for both the senior and junior choirs this Thursday night at 7:30 in the First Baptist Church, Washington.
The Hopewell Missionary Circle will meet in the home of Mrs. Lottie Ay lor, Saturday evening at 2 p.m. All members are urged to come out.
There will be a P.T.A. meeting at the Washington Elementary School, Friday, December 10 at 8 p.m. All parents and friends be present; business of importance.
The Christmas Program of the Washington Elementary School will be Monday, December 20. The public is invited. Time - 8 p.m.
