Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Liliard of Gainesville have announced the < engagement of their daughter, Virginia Catherine} to Pfc. Edward Franklin Hawkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Hawkins of Washington.

Both Miss Liliard and Pfc. Hawkins are graduates of Rappahannock County High School, class of 1953. Miss Liliard is now employed by the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company in Washington, D. C. ‘

Pfc. Hawkins is serving with the Armed Forces im Heilbrorn, Germany. No date has been set for the wedding. '

SCOUT FUND DRIVE FALLS SHORT OF GOAL

In their current fund drive, the county Boy Scouts have gained a total of $233.75 in contributions, far short of their $600 goal. Anyone wishing to contribute to the Scout cause may contact J* S.
