Miss Marjorie Snead, health nurse in Dinwiddie, spent the holiday season with Dr. and Mrs. J. P. Snead. , Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Johnson had as their dinner guests on Friday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Payne and son of Madison, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schaefer and children, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Johnson Jr. On Sunday the same party were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Fred W. Schaefer and on Monday evening they were entertained by Mr. and Mrs. Payne in Madison.
Mrs. Catherine Brown had as her holiday guests, Cpl. Bennie Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Payne of Arlington, Pvt. Strother Brown, who came from Ft. Sam Houston, Texas for a three day leave before reporting to Camp Kilmer from which point he leaves soon for overseas duty. On Christmas Day Mrs. Brown and her family were guests of her son-inlaw and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Roy White in Winchester.
