One of the mbst enjoyable affairs
I have hadj the pleasure of attending1 was; at the Amissville fire hall last Friday evening, when . the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fire ; Dept, were hostesses tb a large gathering fretn all sections of the county. Games Of Bridge, Canasta, Caroms, etc., wejtfe enjoyed. But I feel that the most outstanding pleasure of the livening was seeing the look# of | satisfaction ( and pride on the fate^ of the ladies responsible for the;occasion. Amiss-, ville is truly for unate | in having the spirit of co-operation and getup that has afforded them such a wonderful place io entertain and have entertainments. Ann the men of the fire comply are fortunate in having a community that will back them with i^oncy, labor, and most of all FA1T1. . 1 jj l
Another community, Flint Hill, also has people With these attributes, for they are nearing completion of a beautiful anjd spacious fire hall and community center.
Maybe in (the jnot too distant future the other two fire companies of the county will be able to get started ah building* of their own, and not have to share their quarters with other organizations.
