Two men had already gone down .when Grainum walked, Grimes singled and Silas Martin singled to brirtg in Grainum. Walters walked and Bragg connected for a clean single to score Grimes and Martin,
Wade Bragg went all the way for the Athletics, allowing only 7 hits and giving Up 5 walks, with 17 strikeouts to his credit. Fletcher was the losing pifeher. Brown and Payne also pitched forj The Plains.
