The Athletic Club countered in the eighth when J. Clem went to base when hit by the pitcher and R. Clem brought in J. Clem with a single. Sisk struck out Ballow and Cooley, to curb the comeback.
In their last inning, the Chiefs saw Ned Settle and C. Dodson double, Hawkins advance them on a fly ball,; and Edward Clark’s double bring them in with 2
runs. J. Sisjk singled, bringing in Clark. E. Scroggins and B. Clater grounded out, to leave the Chiefs’ total at 11 mis.
