Miss Phyllis Verner spent Sunday at her home in town.
Mrs. V. R. Updike entered the University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville, Saturday, to under go treatment for asthma. Sunday afternoon, Mr. Updike, Miss Elizabeth Verner and Raymond Jenkins visited Mrs. Updike.
Keith Brockmann motored to his bomfc in Charles Town, West Va. Friday evening to visit his mother, Mrs. Muriel Brockmann. He returned to Washington Saturday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Guy Burke, Mr. and Mrs. Trenton Burke and sons, Dickie and Dave, motored to Washington, D. C. Sunday to celebrate little Dave’s third birthday. They enjoyed a tour of the places of interest in the Capital and later in the dav, a picnic lunch.
A. J. Slaughter spent the week end with1 his son. Albert Slaughter and family in Front Royal. Mr. Slaughter is recovering satisfactorily following his recent illness.
