4-fl County Council
Discuss Progress
The 4-H County Council met at R. C. H. S'. on May 7, with Lelia Gentry presiding. Reports on progress made and work- done in each club were given by Mary Ellen Williams of Reager, Jean Lillard of Flint Hill, Peachey . Lyne of Sperryville III, Dot Estes of Forest Grove, Betty Kilby of Belle Meade and Lelia Gentry of Washington, j The council' discussed camp, to be held at Powell’s Fort in August, and State; 4-H Short Course. Delegates elected to attend Short Course were Ivory Atkins, Glen Updike and Judy Hawkins and Lelia Gentry. The council also decided to pay the fee of the leader attending camp.
A committee .was appointed to work on plans for Achievement Day. Rural Life Sunday and Honor Club were also discussed.
The group saw slides taken at National Club Congress. The meeting closed with; folk games and recreation.
Those attending were: Mary Ellen Williams, Bobby Williams, Timmy Williams, Jean Lillard, Peachey Lyne, Linda Lou Dodson, Dot Estes, Betty Kilby, Nancy Brown and Lelia Gentry.
