t Thanks to the generous response of the people of Rappahannock County to the appeal by the American Cancer Society and thanks also to the two score and more high school pupils whose wojrk as solicitors was ardent and persuasive, the 1955 goal of $400 for! the county was exceeded by $154.77.
Of the total, $194.00 was sent directly to the county Cancer Crui sade Treasurer, Mrs. Mary Payne i of the Rappahannock National Bank and $360.77 was brought in by the high school pupils. 1 As a token of appreciation for their work as solicitors, 47 students
