as we know it, is North American, its roots go back to Bible times. The Old Testament relates that the ancient Jews built booths (succah) in the autumn and in these
leafy bowers they feasted and thanked God for a! bountiful harvest;. So it itf inspiring to know that we Wke the prophets of old, can turn from our daily occupations to thank our Creator for a good year and ask His blessings on the year to come.
