Second quarter: Marshall starts scoring early, 25-16 after Walker has hit. At this point Marshall is doninating both back-boards. 33-18,(we can’t cope with this center) Brown comes in for Rutherford, 36-22, Walker begins to get nasty with foul shots. 40-24. Updike comes in for Clater. 44-27, Bruce, like Walker, begins to hit the free throws. The half ends, 44-27, Marshall.
Third quarter...As the second half got under way, Marshall got the jump and proceeded from there. Marshall dominates play 48-27. Walker hits. These guys are playing a fast game. Walker again, 59-31. Third quarter ends 64-31 with Rappahannock being badly out-played.
Fourth quarter: Marshall gets the jump and scored, 66-31. That Wright again! 68-35, Walker and Rutherford hit, the play is getting faster. 68-37, Rutherford, again. Clater hits, 70-39. The game ends 71-49 with Bruce and Walker hitting the last couple of minutes. j

Victory I The Rappahannock girls defeated the Marshall girls with a score of 44 to 40. Fayj: Black, the game captain was the outstanding. forward. Black wa$ high scorer for the game and scored the most points in each quarter with a total of 20 points. Margaret A. Devers, who played a fast center, scored 16 points. Carolyn G. Turner, spent most of the gam: either rebounding or jumping with a very tall guard, scored 8 points. Betty Bruce and Betty J. Settli played their usual good games and stayed in the whole game. Charlotte Atkins and Alice Dodson both held center guard position. The totals for the games so far are as follows:
