“Few fanners make $4200 a year,” Parsons continued. “Let us consider an instance where the farmer makes $1200 a year on an average. At that rate he can qualify for $55 per month when he is 65. His wife, after reaching 65 may qualify for $27.50 per month, or a total of $82.50 for the two. If a farmer who makes $1200 each year,(two crop years if the minimum requirement) after 19 54 should die, survived by a widow and two young children, $82.60 could be paid them every month, terminating when the youngest child reaches 18. Payments to the widow could be resumed when she reaches 65. , [■ ■
