Mr. William H. Lyne, Chairman of Savings Bonds Committee of Rappahannock County, was presented with a medallion by the Treasury Department, February 1956. This is in recognition of his services to country and community in having exceeded his county’s assigned goal in the sale of U. S. Savings Bonds for the year 1955.

Friday Night

“Everybody had a wonderful time" was the Consensus of opinion following the Flint Hill firemen’s Round Dance Friday night. Around 150 dancers and spectators enjoyed the music of the . Top Hats. Miss Betty Bruce won the door prize,» a pair of sheets donated by Weavers’ in Front Royal. The 10-piece orchestra’s introductory performance at the Flint Hill Dance was so impressive that they were engaged for another round dance scheduled for March 9th.. ■
