With April 15 not. too far off, many farmers are turning their attention toward the matter of beating the dead-line for filing income and social security reports for 1955, according to Robert E. Parsons, assistant manager of the Alexandria social security office.
Parsons explained that like other self-employed people, the self employed farm operator will make a report# of his net earnings for social security purposes, if those net earnings amounted to $400 or more in the year 1955. Parsons cautioned all self-employed farm operators to not overlook the fact when making out their social security report that income received as rentals from a farm, including rental paid in crop shares, is not
