was during the pastorate of Elder Grimsley from 1852-1866 that the first church building was completed. It was of brick and had a gallery for the colored members.
The pastorate of Rev. C. W. Collier marked a period of real growth and development. Many members were added to the church under the ministry of this able and Godly man.
Rev. W. J. Reynolds is remembered as one of the finest Christian characters and one of the best beloved men who
