roiio vaccine snots are recoinmended for babies of two months of age as the highest paralytic case rates last year were reported for babies one and two years old. Owing to widespread innoculation the proportion of paralytic cases occuring among elementary school has been sharply reduced. Paralytic polio cases reported in 1956 were: 39% under 5 yrs., 16% from 5-9 yrs., 11% from 10-14 and 34% were over 15 vis. The attack rate was about as high among persons in their twenties as among teenagers but several cases were reported in persons over 60 yrs. There is still time for people to get two shots of vaccine before the traditional peak occurs in late August or September.
