Newer Ratings For
Ex Navymen Now Available
Navy Recruiter Samuel J. Cox at the Post Office Building in Culpeper, Va. announced recently he has received a list of ratings and schools applicable to ex navymen. Certain ratings whose advancement was relatively slow will be given an opportunity to attend service schools to qualify them for one of the newer ratings such as Electronics Technician, Radarman or Fire Control Technician. Personnel qualifying for these schools will receive orders direct from the recruiting station. Many ex sailors who wish to remain in their present rating will be guaranteed a school to further their technical knowledge.
Other new changes include a new sea-shore rotation policy. With the new plan sailors will be able to plan their tours at sea and ashore. Hospitalization for dependents has been authorized at all military establishments and at civilian hospitals.
All ex bluejackets are urged to make an informal visit to the local Navy Recruiter and check the ratings to which you may change and the list of schools available to you. Your navy- recruiter is a good man to know. He has the facts and can bring you up to date oh the all new Nuclear Navy.
