Forgetting entirely the segregation question—where does the Supreme Court Ruling in the Girard College Case leave us with the respect tohuman rights? I agree with the remark that I heard one person make after reading a recent editorial in the Richmond Times Dispatch on the subbject. “At one t;mc we felt secure in having the Supreme Court as the great protector of an individual"* rights— Now it appears we need protection from the Supreme Court.” The impact of this ruling could irftleed be astonishing—it undoubtedly is frightening no matter what our color or race is.
