Week'Observed 4
the theme for the observance of National F.H.A. Week, April 5 to 11. The 80 F.H.A.’ers at R.C. H.S., along with thousands of Future Homemakers across the nation are this week emphasizing and highlighting their accomplishments in contributing to family living.
Specific activities are planed tor each day. if the week as well as several days during the following week. Plans are in the making for Open House to be held Friday afternoon in the Homemaking Department. At this time many of the projects the girls are working on will be displayed as well a$ interesting bulletin boards throughout the school. % . I
“Family Togetherness” is being stressed by means of a high school assembly centering around th$s theme, on April 15. Future Homemakers and their families are also encouraged to worship together this Sunday, April 12. Continued on page twelve

Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. people in Rappahannock wondered what the explosive sound and jarring of the buildings was. Very few had seen rise vapor trails from a jet plane that was flying over head. The plane traveling at approximately 1000 to 1500.rn.pJi., broke the sound barrier and caused buildings in and around the county to rattle. Many people believed the explosive sound to be a bomb.
