By the year 2050 there will be no one living in Rappahannock County whether an A or H bomb of megation proportions drops or not I That is, if the population trend continues to decline as it did during the 1930-1950 period. There'll be no kids in echoed, no merchants, no churches, no one! During this twenty-year period our population dropped 21% to a total to 6H2 persons. By projecting this trend to the end of 1958 there are now 5632 people in the county. ; People everywhere are living longer. In Rappahannock the average age of our population, percentage Wise, is becominng significantly older.
