Amissville firemen and the ladies Auxiliary grassed $11,003.06 at their carnival held in August, according to Charlie Compton, the treasurer of the Fire Company.
Favorable weather, a large patade, good food and an interesting midway were some factors which brought out crowds for the annual event.
