A CHANGE FOR ALL
The doors of Rappahannock County schools swing open today to admit approximately 1,156 students for the 196061 session.
A number of changes, advocated by the State Board of Education and our local officials, have been made since the close of school in June. There “has been a consolidation of grade schools; high school pupils will move into entirely new surroundings; teachers have been transferred from school to school; bus schedules necessitated change.
We, student^, teachers and parents, will have to adjust ourselves to the transition. Somehow, we hate to see our elementary schools leave the individual communities, how4ever, if it is advantageous, as surely such a great move must be, let us acaept it and cooperatee to the fullest extent, to avoid any undue confusion.
