Report On Red Cross

Fauquier Chapter of the American Red Cross went over its quota for 1%0 and increased its membership 20% over the preceeding year.
People will always give when they know their money is going to do something worthwhile for some one else. The quota of Fauquier Chapter of the Red Cross was exceeded because of the service it is giving to the people in the community.
It is interesting to note all through the campaign, how personally concerned the members are in^the services of the Chapter. We quote from several remarks: “I am so glad for my money' to go to spread the knowledge of Water Safety, and save many lives each year.”
"I was so happy when I was up at the hospital, to see the wonderful work the Gray Ladies and Volunteer Nurses Aides are doing. I am happy to give to an organization like that.” in Home Nursing, which is helping people care for the sick in their own families.
Wherever we have gone in the Chapter territory, we have heard how much has been done by the work of the Red Cross in collecting blood for so many people. This work stands out as one of the great accomplishments of the Chapter Continued on page six
