Of Blood
On Friday, September 2, the Red Cross Blood Mobile will be in Washington to receive blood donations from the citizens of Rappahannock County.
Time: 11:00-4:00, September 2

Who: All persons 18-60
Rappahannock County has been asked to donate 150 pints of blood to the Red Cross. This blood is urgently needed, especially over this Labor Day weekend. Who knows the blood you give may be used to save your life.
In addition to the service to others there is a direct advantage to y ou. A doctor gives you a thorough physical examination before accepting your donation. He may catch some physical trouble unknown to you. Blood pressure-, heart, lungs, weight, and general physical appearance are some of the things he checks. You can rest assured that if the doctor accepts your blood donation you are in good health.
All persons 18-60 may donate blood. If you are between the ages of 18-21 you need the written consent of one parent or guardian.
Mrs. James M. Hibbard, Executive Director of the FauquierR.’ppahannock Chapter will be in charge on Friday.
Party At Chester Gap
A lawn party for the building fund of Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department will be held at Greeley’s Mountain Store, September 3 from 5 .until 7 p.m.
