1 here Were 36 pigs entered oy 12 boys and girls. The show was judged by Arden N. Huff, 4-H Livestock Specialist of V.P.I. and graded by Roy H. Chiles, Virginia Division of Markets.
In the Orange Area Market Hog Show, Lyle Updike showed the first place US No. 2 single for a $3.00 prize; the second place in the US No. 1, 190-200 pound class for $4.00 prize; and fourth place for the pen-of-three US No. 1 with a $3.00 prize.
Francis Updke showed.the third place pen-of-three in the US No. 2 class with a $3.00prize and the fifth place single L:S No. 1 in the 180-190 pound class. Glen Updike showed the second place US No. 1 single in the 180-190 pound class and won $4.00.
The Grand Champion single was showed by Carol Ann Jones of Madison County. The pig neighed 235 pounds and was sold™ to Rollins ' Meat Market in Orange for 63c a pound.
Coffee Hour At Trifiity

The Episcopal Church women of H com field Parish will have a coffee hour at Stuart Hall in Washington, Va., Sunday, September 4 immediately following the morning services, in honor of Rev. and Mrs. Dabney Carr. Members and friends of the congregation are invited to attend.
Youth Group Meeting
The Youth Group held its meeting at Flint Hill Fire Hall, Sunday, August 28 with a large number of members attending.
Among other business discussed, was the selection of a name for the organization. It was decided that the name will be made up possibly, of Greek letters, which are to be selected by Rev. Carr and Rev. Wilbur, or from other names - which will be brought before the group by Butch Browning. A definite name will be chosen at the next meeting. Very interesting and educational slides were shown by Rev. Wilbur which he and Mrs. Wilbur took while on a trip through some of the western states. Among the pictures were Old Faithful geyser ill Yellowstone National Park.
