Wins At Hog Show
Lyle Updike showed the grand champion single at the Page-Warren-Rappahannock Market Hog Show and Sale August 25th. The Grand Champion won first place, the 215-260 pound class for US No. weighed 220 pounds and was sold to Mr. George Wallihan for 21c a pound.
Francis Updike showed the Reserve Champion single. This hog was first in the 170-214 pound US No 1 class, weighed 195 pounds and sold for 19c a pound. The showmanship and fitting class was won by Lyle Updike. He placed second in the single class for US No. 1, 170-214 class.
