We are particularly pleased with the progress that we feel has been made in our Maternal and Child Health Program. Dr. Fears conducts the MCH clinic on the 1st and 3rd Thursday afternoons at the health department. From home visits and reports, we found that many women in this county were not receiving any prenatal care— sometimes lack of: money, but more often, lack of knowledge of need. Medically indigent prenatal patients may attend clinic until die last month of pregnancy at which time they are j referred to their private doctor for further care and delivery. These doctors frequently send them back to clinic for postpartum examination and contraceptive, advicd whm reguested. The
