“Technician Of The Month”, put out by the Virginia Artificial Breeding Association, shows Gordon Thornhill to be 4th high in the number of cows serviced during the month of August over the same month a year ago in Group 111 (local associations breeding less than 1300 cows in 1959). During August Mr. Thornhill serviced 51 cows representing a 50% increase over a year ago, and as evidence of his efficiency, he had 77.7% non returns (7.4 above the state average).
It is gratifying to know our milk cow owners are increasing their effort to improve the breeding and production of their animals through the use of superior sires available through Mr. Thornhill.

On ADA
Winchester, Va._Rep. Burr P. Harrison (D. Va.) made this comment on a rating of Congressional voting records published by Americans for Democratic Action:
“I was glad to learn that the ADA again rated me 100 per cent wrong on the issues included in their tabulation. Several years ago, 1 was obliged to apologize to the citizens of my Congressional District for having voted in accordance with the views of this organization on but one out of 15 issues. I promised to try to do better and have managed to be 100 per cent wrong, in the ADA’s estimation, for several years now.”
