Mr. and Mrs. J. t. Wayland had as their guests Sunday Mrs. M. W. Brown, Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Gore and family, Mrs. Helen Bmcs, Mrs. Donald Osborne and children of Gainesville a/>d Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Partlow of Culpeper.

Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Manuel and family were guests last Sunday of Mrs. Manuel’s mother, Mrs. Chris Schaefer. Thursday Mrs. Schaefer was a luncheon guest of her daughter, Mrs. B. M. Vaipner.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brown and children of Pittsburg, Pa. who have been spending a vacation in Front Royal with Mrs. Brown’s family have also been guests in the home of Mr. Brown’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Brown.

Miss Betty Taylor Bruce who recently was taken ill while on a weekend beach party and was hospitalized in Richmond, has been recouperating at the home of her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Brown. She has recovered and returned to Richmond Thursday ,,fof a check up before assuming duties as a member of the staff at Grace Hospital.

Guests Sunday of Miss Mamie Johnson were Mr. and Mrs. Edward Clatterbuck, Jane Clatterbuck, Mrs. Mattie Clatterbuck and Miss Cole of Arlington, John Johnson and Mrs. Betsy Harrell.

Miss Joan Aylor and Buddy Aylor of Arlington spent the week end with their parents Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Aylor who also had with them on Wednesday, Joe Henry Aylor.

Marvin Bolyard, instructor at V.M.I. spent the weekend with his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Bolyard.
