At that time, the Virginia Museum will announce the "birthday presents”_additions to the building, new equipment and endowment funds..—it has received for its anniversary.
In gratitude for these giffts, the Museum will in turn make awards to individuals and organizations who' have made outstanding cultural contributions to the State.
The names of the award winners_many of international renown.arc being withhheld until the presentation of awards on February 24. The recipients, or their representatives, will be present to accept the awards.
A dinner for several hundred f people will p recced the' awards ceremony. It will be served from a new service area adjacent to tthe galleries—.a “birthday present” constructed last summer. After dinner will come the lighting of die candles on a gigantic Museum birthday cake.
