Picnic Held In Luray
The County 4-H Clubs held their annual picnic Wednesday at Woodland Park in Luray. Ten vehicles carrying about ninety club members left Washington at 10 a. m. for the days outing.
Chaperoning the group were Miss Anna Ruth Barnette, Home Agent, Mrs. Frank Cary, Mrs. Ruby Cannon, Mrs. Bradley Williams, Mrs Gertrude Cameron, Mrs. Joe Durden, W. H. Lyne, County Agent and Assistant Agent Paul Coleman, Mrs. Barbara Gentry, Mrs. Ellis Smith, Mrs. Dodson, Mrs Lloyd Pullen, Mrs. Lester Yates, and Mrs. Wilson.
Clubs from Washington, Flint Hill, Castleton, Sperryville, Forest Grove and Chester Gap were represented with Chester Gap having the largest representation.
