From 30-40 pounds of 2Vi/c granular heptachlor should be applied per acre for Alfalfa weevil control. Why not kill^wo birds with one stone? Apply this insecticide and top dress with fertilizer at the same time. Better see your fertilizer salesman and get your order in now. Best time to apply the insecticide on established stands is between the last cutting and October 15th.
Fertilizer-Heptachlor should be used at following rates per acre: 800-1000 lbs. 0-10-20 or 0-9-27; or 500 lbs. 0-18-36.
If you pl^n to seed alfalfa next month use 2-12-12 with heptachlor.
