FIRST: We are grateful to Mr. Gasque, who has served in the capacity of Superintendent from 1945 until his resignation effective July 1, 1961, to accept a position or\ the faculty of Madison College, Hairisonburg, Virginia.

SECOND: During the sixteen years of his leadership, our schools have progressed through programs of consolidation and building.

THIRD: During his administration, he has labored unceasingly for the growth and welfare of all phases of school life on the part of the pupils, the teachers, and the community.

FOURTH: Now that Mr. Gsque is going into another phase of educational work, we wish to express our gratitude for his past services and good wishes for success in his new endeavor.

FIFTH: We request copies of these resolutions to be sent to the local papers for publication, a copy to be sent Mr. Gasque, and that a copy be placed in the minutes of the Rappahannock County School Board.
