Miss Anna Ruth Barnette has returned from Blacksburg where she took a two week course at VPI.
Miss Betty Ann Blanton of Amherst, who is the new Home Ec teacher at RCHS, will arrive August 1. She will share Miss Anna Ruth Barnette’s apartment until one is arranged for her in the Snead apartment house. ;
Ronnie Thornhill is spending this week with his mother, Mrs. Mrs Daniel Jacobs and Mr. Jacobs at their farm near Castleton.
Mrs. C. T. Bruce is taking a weeks vacation from the Rappahannock National Bank. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce spent from Thursday until Monday at Colonial Beach. They especially enjoyed boating.
Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Giles and son Skippy attended the reenactment of the Battle of Manassas on Sunday. En route home they visited Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Giles in Warrenton.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hoge of Bluefield, \V Va. visited Mr. and Mrs. C J. Miller Sunday enroute to their home after attending the Manassas Battle reenactment. Miss Belle Strother, who has been visiting friends and relatives in the county, returned home with them.
