time, these young people will be fulfilling the purposes of the InterState Exchange Program. These are to provide personal development, citizenship and leadership experiences for older 4-H youth, to provide an exchange of 4-H program ideas and experiences between club members, volunteer adult leaders and Extension agents of different states and regions, and to provide a challenge for senior 4-H Club members and recognition of outstanding work. 4-H’ers in Rappahannock, who entertained delegates from Massachusetts last summer, will have prfe-ity for the return trip. As delegates from Virginia, these young people will have two basic roles, to teach host families and those at home about themselves and others and to learn about themselves and others from these host families. There, the 4-H’ers will be learning self understanding along with an understanding of others from the emphasis put on the “Why” of human behavior instead of the simpler objective of seeing only the “What” and “How from others.

Delegates will be selected by March 15th and will receive some training before departure on July 8th. After return to the county on July 21st, they will be reporting to the county and surrounding areos on their trip, their fun, as ■ well as their educational experiences.
