Mrs. Gertrude Parish
Mrs. Gertrude Fineham Parish, 62, of Winchester, died at her home Thursday, March 1. She was a native of Rappahannock County, a daughter of Philip Finchan of Chester Gap and the late Mrs. Loma Jenkins Fineham. Her husband is Delwin Parish.
She was a member of the First Brethem Church in Winchester.
Surviving with her husband, and father are two brothers, Earl Finchain of Middleburg and Amos Fineham, Baltimore, Md.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, March 3 at 2 o’clock from the First Brethem Church, conducted by the Rev. Paul Dick. Burial was in Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
Mrs. Sadie Updike
Mrs. Sadie Beatrice Updike, 72, of Front Royal, died Saturday in a Staunton Hospital.
She is survived by her husband^ Charles Lewis Updike, of Front Royal.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 2 pan. from the Maddox Funeral chapel, conducted by Rev. T. C. Boyd. Interment was in the Masonic Cemetery in Washington, Va.
Pallbearers were Thomas L. and Lyle Williams, Clifton Clark, Russell Carron, Ralph Kemp and Collier Fox.
