Had Picnic Saturday ’
RCHS Seniors ended their school days with an all-day trip to Cacapon State Park, W. Va. Saturday. Five o’clock was mighty early for arising to meet the bus, especially after a graduation party the night before. In fact one guest slept through the alarm of the clock and the bus had to wait.
However, some were brighteyed in spite of the many activities of the past few days and enjoyed horseback riding, tennis, swimming and other pleasures offered at the park. Some relaxed in the shade and were spared the painful sunburn acquired by the sun worshipers. All in all it was a fitting finale to the school days of the class of '62.
Friday evening after commencement exercises, Mrs. C. B. Palmer, Senior sponsor, was hotesss at a party at her home Scuffle Hill in ' honor of the graduates.
In the teenage vernacular, it was a real blast and the coolest move of the evening was when some of the guests assisted Mr. Palmer in baling hay.
All of the graduates attended and some brought guests .making about 60 in the gay celebrating group.
