2. QUAIL, RABBIT, GROUSE, PHEASANT AND TURKEY SEASONS AND BAG LIMITS: (a) West of the Blue Ridge Mountains, it shall be lawful bo hunt quail, rabbits and' grouse beginning the second Mondlay in November through January 31, except in the counties of Bland, Buchanan. Carroll, Dickenson, Giles, Grayson, Lee, Pulaski, Russell, Scott, Smyth, Tazewell, Washington, Wise and Wythe the season on quail shall close on December 31.
(b) East of the Bue Ridge Mountains, it shall be lawful to hunt rabbits and grouse beginning the third Monday in November through January 31 except in Accomack County the season on rabbits shall close on January 15; it shall be lawful to hunt quail beginning the third Monday in November through February 15.
(c) West of the Blue Ridge Mountains it shall be lawful to hunt turkeys from the second Monttay In November through January 15, and east of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the third Monday in November through January 16, with the following exceptions:
It shall be unlawful to bunt turkeys at any time in the counties of Alleghany and Bath in the Gath right Management Area only, Bland, Buchanan, Carroll, Charles City, Clarke, Dickenson, Floyd, FYanklin, Giles, Gloucester, Grayson, Greene, Henry, King William, Lancaster, Lee, Madison, Mathews, Middlesex, Montgomery Norfolk, Northumberland, Page, Patrick, Pulaski, Rappahannock, Richmond, Roanoke, Russell, Scott, Smyth, Tazewell, Warren, Washington, Westmoreland;, Wise and Wythe, also in those sections of Rockingham and Shenandoah counties lying between Routes 11 and 340.
(di) It shall be unlawful to hunt pheasants at any time except on licensed shooting preserves. **
(e) The bag limits shall be as follows: Quail, 8 a day, 125 a season; rabbits, 6 a day, 75 a season (hunt and/or trap); Grouse, 3 a day, 15 a season; Turkey, 1 a day, 2 a season, except in New Kent County 1 a season gobbler only.
