Violations and Penalties 4- 1. All departments, officers and employees of the County wlhich have been vested1 with the responsibility of issuing permits or licenses shall not issue any permits for buildings or construction where such permits or licenses would be or would operate in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance. Any such license or permit issued in conflict with this Ordinance shall be noli and void and without effect. 44-2. Any person, firm or corporation, whether as principal, agent, employee or otherwise, violating or causing the violation of this Ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, may be fined not less than five dollars ($5.00) nor more than three hundred dollars ($300). Such person, firm or corporation shall be deemed guilty of a separate offence for each and every day during which the violation shall continue, and shall be punishable as herein provided.
- ARTICLE V
Validity 5- 1. The provisions of this Ordinance shall be severable and the holding of any provision or section thereof to be invalid shall not effect any other provision or section than that expressly held to be invalid.
ARTICLE VI
Repeal of Conflicting Ordinance* 6- 1. Any ordinance or portion of any ordinance in conflict wit! the provisions of this Ordinance are herewith repealed to the extent of such conflict.
ARTICLE VII
Effective Date 7- 1. This Ordinance shall be in fulj force and effect upon its adoption, enactment and publication by the Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County. Given under my hand1 this 17th day of May, 1952.

This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from June 6, 1962. A copy of the Interim Building Ordinance is of record in the Clerk’s Office of said county in the Board of Supervisors Rappahannock County Minute Book #6, Page 442. Copies of said Ordinance may be obtained at the Clerk’s Office of Rappahannock County, Washington, Virginia.
