Amissville Ruritans, though organized only a short time, have performed many community services, one of which is establishment and maintenance of a public dump for the area. The Ruritans deserve the support of everyone.
Mrs. Miller Bridge Hostess
Mrs. C. Brown Miller entertained the Sperryville Bridge Club and additional guests on Friday evening at her home near Peola Mills. Her guests included Mrs. Elsa Cave, Mrs. C. A. Kidd and Mrs. Gordon Payne of Madison, Mrs. John P. Snead, Jr., Mrs. Jim Bill Coates, Mrs. Elmo Flynt, Mrs. V. E. Goddard, Mrs. T. J. Pillar, Mrs. Roy Reeve, Mrs. Charles H. Estes, Mrs. Patzig and Mrs. Mrs. Fred Schaefer. Prizes were awarded Mrs. Patzig and Mrs. Reeve for highest score.
Garden Club Meets
With Mrs. Thomas Rees
The Rappahannock County Garden Club held its monthly meeting at “Reescroft” the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Rees. There were twenty people in attendance including three guests Mrs. James B. Perkins, Mrs. C. F. Melton and Mrs. M. M. Hawkins, Jr. Terry Kilby and Beth O’Bannon gave interesting reports on their trip to Nature Camp near Waynesboro.
