Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Bennett and son spent Monday and Tuesday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Burke.
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Hash were in Richmond September 16 to enter their son Randolph in the freshman class at the University of Richmond.
Twenty young people of the YVW.A. and G.A. missionary group of MU Lebanon Church met Wednesday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Burke. The G.A. leader, Mrs. Mrs. Burke, Y. W. A. leader, Andrew Kibler of Salem and were sponsors of the groups who enjoyed a picnic supper following the meetings.
Mrs. Gordon Thornhill and Mrs. Cary Thornhill were hostesses Friday night at a shower honoring Mrs. Freddie Bugler. The shower was held at the home of Mrs. George Butler and was attended by about 50 guests. Mrs. Butler received many beautiful and useful gif£s.
