corporation coming' under the provisions of this .Ordinance sbau make application for license upon forms prescribed by the Treasurer of Rappahannock County, and upon payment of the required tax shall be issued aa evidence, tine or tags which shall be com spicuously placed upon the front or rear of the vehicle so licensed in such manner as to be plainly visible in the manner prescribed for State license tags. Failure to display such tins or tags shall be a violation of this Ordinance, even though the license tax has been paid. No sueh license tin or tag shall be placed upon any vehicle other than that for which it was issued. But such tins or tags may be transferred from one vehicle to another in same manner and Under the same .conditions as provided by the laws and regulations governing the transfer of State license tags. '

Section 7. The revenue derived from all County motor vehicle licenses under this law shall be paid into the General Fund of the County. ' ' “

Section 8. LOST TAGS: A duplicate tin or tag shall bo Issued upon affidavit of the applicant that the original tin or tag has been lost. The charge for a duplicate tin or leg shall he Fifty (0.50) Cents. / **

Section 0. PERSONAL PROPERTY TAXES: No vehicle t«tabje under this Ordinance shall be locally licensed unless and until the applicant for such license shall have produced before the said Treasurer, or such agent, satisfactory evidence that all personal property taxes upon the vehicle to be licensed Save been paid,' which personal property taxes have been assessed or are assessable against such applicant :>

Section 10. EXEMPTIONS: Nothing in this Ordinance shall be construed to require a license tax of a person, firm or corporation exempted under the provisions of the laws of the State of Virginia.

Section 11. RECORDS: The County Treasurer shall keep a record of each such license tag issued by him, showing the number of such tag, the person to whom it was issued, the make, model, and engine number of the vehicle for which such tag is issued, end the State license number of such vehicle.

Section 12. OFFENSE: No person, corporation, firm or partnership, resident or non-resident, shall:

a. Operate or permit a motor vehicle, trailer or semi-trailer controlled by such person, corporation, firm or partnership to be operated upon the streets, highways, or roads within said County which does not have attached thereto and displayed thereon the ■proper Rappahannock County license plate or plates as required by this Ordinance.

b. Display, cause or permit to be displayed or to have in possession any Rappahannock County license plate, knowing the same to be fictitious or to have been cancelled or altered.
