Woodville W.M.U.

Brotherhood

The first fall meeting of the joint mission groups of Woodville Baptist Church was held on Wednesday, September 19, at the parsonage. It was in the form of a pot-luck supper, after which those present divided into groups and held their own programs.

The Brotherhood and R. As. met together with John O’Bannon as leader. They planned an R.A. hike for Sunday, September 30, with Mr. Raymond JohnBon as chaperone.

The G.As. met with Mrs. Myrtle Falls and had their Season of Prayer Program for state missions.

Mrs. B. Gale Titchenell led the program for the W.M.U. which was “The Counterattack on Communism”. They planned their Season of Prayer meeting for Thursday, September 27, at the church at 7:00 P.M. Officers for the new year were elected as follows: President, Mrs. James Falls; Vice-president, Mrs. B. Gale Titchenell and Secretary-Treasurer, Mrs. Raymond Johnson with others being elected as chairmen of the different phases of mission work.

Attending the meeting were Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Johnson, Miss Nellie Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Cletus Clark, Mrs. James JPalls, John and Martha Lou O’Bannon, John Turner and Jacob Dodson, Tommy Sisk, Larry Conners, Mrs. Vir|ril Atkina, Jean and Betty Leu Atkins, Mrs. H. B. Wood, Rev. end Mrs, B. Gale Titchenell, Leslie, Mike, Bobby and Sue Titchenell
