Mrs. Downing Wood and Mrs. Bruce Bowie of Culpeper were in Staunton on Friday. Mrs. Wood’s daughter, Frances, returned home with her for the weekend.
Mi9s Diana Carr spent the weekend with her parents, the Rev. and Mrs. Dabney J. Carr. She returned Sunday afternoon to St. Margaret’s in Tappahan nock.
Mr. and Mrs. Stant Weaver were weekend guests of Mr. and Alexandria. Sunday the Weavers and relatives in Herndon and relatives in Herndon and Alexan dria. On Sunday the Weavers and the Penarandas enjoyed a picnic lunch at Mt. Vernon.

Mrs. Thomas Fitzgerald and daughter of Front Royal return3d home Tuesday after spending several days with her mother, Mrs. Jack Nicholson. Mr. Nicholson entered Newton Baker Hospital in Martinsburg, W.Va., last week where he will remain for observation and treatihent.
Recent callers in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Rees were Miss Marie Koontz and friend from Woodstock. Also Mr. and Mrs. Harold F. Thomas of Oakton.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Rees spent the day Tuesday in Harrisonburg.
Mrs. Rayner Snead and Mrs. George H. Davis, Jr., along with Mrs. A. Cox of Manassas were the judges for the Fall Flower Show in Culpeper on Thursday. Miss Kate Anderson was in charge of procuring the judges. The Flower Show sponsored jointly by Culpeper Garden Club and Calfee Garden Club had for its theme “Walks in October’s Bright Blue Weather.” The judges were entertained for lunch preceding the Show at the Lord Culpeper Hotel.
Steve Bailey returned home on Saturday from the Fauquier Memorial Hospital. He has a cast on one leg and one hip as a
